A Review from Bharat

Thrill of a lifetime

A review
(October, 2010)
‎

Leeches all over the legs, you cross a raging ice cold river at dusk to enter a natural hot water spring Jacuzzi inside dense forest when the surroundings are damn cold, and then insanely, trek back through that dense jungle at night.

You get up the following morning and realize that the gurgling sound you've been hearing all night long is not the sound of rainfall .. but it’s actually the sound of a river flowing quite near to the room ..

You go out to see the river but get lost in the surrounding vegetation and the natural beauty of the place.. You still aren't out of the awe of the surroundings, when suddenly you reach a mighty whitey foamy river.. there’s a chill in the air.. and a calmness in spite that gushing sound of water.. the flow of the river, the magnificence of the surroundings, the eternity of the place.. makes you go (I don’t know what to call this..) numb maybe.

Big rocks and boulders just lay there in and around that turbulent river. You lie down on the rocks . and in an instant feel the silence of the rocks against the voice of the river.. and when you experience all these things with someone whose passion for his place is felt the moment you talk to him.. it just adds a whole new element to the experience .. A people so homely.. we hardly got a feeling of being around 1300km away from home.. a place so cozy.. yet so natural.. you'll wonder if it’s a part of the mountains... an area so remote and untouched.. that even the majority of the inhabitants aren’t aware of the beauty it beholds.. Everywhere you see.. there are waterfalls.. and hundreds of them.. fresh water streams.. clouds look like they have been pasted to that green covered hillock .. suddenly a huuuge cloud comes and envelopes the entire scenery.. and the very next moment its gone...

Through these hills, lies a network of winding .. scarily narrow roads. Roads, on one of which is a deep gorge with a river flowing below.. and the other end the mountain itself.. they don’t look like they’ve been laid.. it looks they are crafted from the mountains.. an hour’s journey through these roads brings you face-on with a gigantic waterfall.. one can’t really understand the beauty of a waterfall completely unless one gets under its shower..

The might.. the exhilaration.. the chillness.. the excitement the pain.. the uncertainty and the chance of experiencing these things with a group of people you like the most..

THAT IS DZONGU>>>>>>>>

Oh boyyyyyyyy! LIFE here iS indeed beautiful..
